Anne and John travelled from San Francisco on August 28 and arrived in London, Heathrow around midday on Friday August 29. We travelled by National Express Coach down to Salisbury and stayed at the White Hart Hotel.

The hotel's Mulligatawny soup and fresh, crisp roll & butter were a wonderful treat and absolutely delicious!

On Saturday Morning John nipped off to the local Cyber Cafe while Anne went to the bank. I (Anne) joined him in the open market and introduced him to cockles in vinegar on a tiny saucer! Yum!

We then made our way by bus to Laverstock on the outskirts of town for a cup of coffee with Douglas and Ann Stephenson before going to the Church for the Interment Service.

About 40 people came to the Service and we waited in the sun outside the church as people gathered. Some came from very far away.

The service was very well done with several hymns which were accomplished with gusto (accompanied by the church organ which helped.)

On the left: Clare's husband Brian is holding the casket and the minister, Rev. Barry Conaway, is ready to say a few words.

After this everyone retired to Milford Hall Hotel for a full meal reception much enjoyed by all. (No pictures worth sharing!)
