Salient attributes and skills:
The evolution of Ian Hadley's career has provided him with
a variety of skills. Earlier experience as an electrical engineer,
and subsequently electronics engineer laid the foundation of attention
to detail as well as introducing an appreciation of logic. Two years
spent at sea in the company of merchant seamen brought tolerance and understanding
for companions and co-workers.
This role eventually led to Systems Engineering and knowledge and competence
with a wide range of hardware and software systems on both mainframe and
microprocessors. In addition, an expertise of issues of security
and control led to contingency planning and disaster planning.
Further study of systems engineering led to consulting roles in data
centre design and project planning for a variety of large organisational
issues such as data centre relocation and business planning for change.
Most recently, executive management of organisations, and the establishment
of companies in electronic publishing, has led to skills in team building,
organisation planning and sales and marketing initiatives, and the negotiation
and establishment of joint ventures.
In the past ten years he has established three companies from start-up,
one of which was his own software animation development company in Ireland.
In all cases he was fully responsible for P/L and for creating the organisational
infrastructure.
This experience has been gained over time in such diverse locations
as Australia, USA, The Republic of Ireland, France and England. For
many of the years where Ian was involved with project planning, security
and contingency planning, and disaster planning, his services were in demand
from a wide range of clients.
Executive management of software development and electronic publishing
organisations led to the establishment of joint ventures with such diverse
organisations as Renault, Hachette Filipacchi Presse, and the Picasso Foundation.

The departure of two key senior employees led to a need for
temporary executive management of this company. Ian Hadley agreed
to step in and provide professional leadership as well as assume responsibility
for the introduction of upgraded automated systems. In addition,
all of the financial systems had to be upgraded to conform to Year 2000
standards. This contract which is current, is schedule to complete
in early June when a permanent Executive is appointed.

This company was formed in March of 1996. Ian Hadley was appointed
as Managing Director and CEO of the company (later changed to President),
and charged with its creation. Together with a staff of two French
employees of the former MHM, a company was formed in Oxford and built it
to its present strength of 50 people, fully functional in all areas of
developing and publishing multi-media software products, entertainment,
and reference and educational, both on-line and off-line.
Ian Hadley's role in this company was to provide Executive and General
Management. Reporting to him were Directors of Sales and Marketing,
Product Development and Localisation, Administration, Legal, Finance and
Studio. He had full responsibility for the P/L of the company.
He also retained the direct management of joint ventures.
During this time the full rights to Anne McCaffrey's "Pern" novels were
acquired for computer game production.
All objectives defined in the 1996 contract were achieved by November
1997.

Ian was commissioned, in a consulting capacity, to provide interim management
to create a studio in Paris, France and to establish a business plan to
establish this company as a significant presence in the interactive consumer
software industry.
Responsibilities included acquisition of product, hiring of key people,
and establishment of the infrastructure on a new development and publishing
company concentrating on educational, reference and entertainment product.
In addition he negotiated and established joint ventures with Renault,
Elle Magazine, Picasso Foundation and Hachette Livre.
As a result of initiatives brought about by Ian Hadley, the copyright
of all of the works of Pablo Picasso expressed in electronic media were
acquired and a CD-ROM and web site was established under the auspices of
a joint venture with the Picasso Foundation. The CD-ROM was awarded
several industry prizes and is currently used as a template for CD-ROM
design.

Proprietor, founder and chief executive of a computer animation and
video, multi-media and game development company. Project Management
of complex multi-media productions concurrent with the normal Executive
Management of a small business was his role as well as full and sole P/L
responsibility.
Our output was published by Philips in USA. In addition this group
developed computer animation for TV show production in Ireland and UK,
and conducted experimental interactive TV games for TF1 in Paris, France.

Chief executive of a subsidiary of a Californian corporation, charged
with the establishment of an independent production facility in Europe.
The parent company went into liquidation leading to the closure of the
subsidiary.

Chief executive of a production company based in Palatine, Illinois.
This company undertook support services to the fledgling Interactive Entertainment
Industry, in addition to Project Management of complex Data Centre Design
and relocations within Continental USA, and Disaster and Contingency Planning
for Wall Street clients under the name of St. John's Consulting Group.
Technical Director of a subsidiary of SFN in Northbrook, Illinois.
This company was one of the founding production and publishing companies
within the interactive education and entertainment industry. His
responsibilities included assessing new externally developed product, and
project managing product development commissioned to outside developers.
He was also responsible for all internal product development and for the
creation and maintenance of the technical infrastructure of the organisation.

In addition this business conducted lectures and in-house training seminars
on telecommunication, security, and data centre design. The client
list of this company included companies and government departments in UK,
USA and Australia and dealt with the security and protection of classified
information.

National Principal Consultant of an international accounting and consulting
firm, now know as Ernst & Young. This role was based in Australia,
servicing clients throughout Australia and Southeast Asia. In addition
to providing consulting services to clients of the firm, he took the lead
in lecturing and guest presentations on behalf of the firm to both Government
and industry.
During this period, Ian co-wrote a monogram on computer performance
measurement that was put on the required reading list for a post-graduate
degree on Computer Science at Deakin University in Australia.
