An Asian Small-Clawed Otter Finds Human Bodies. An Asian Small-Clawed Otter has been named Splash. His trainer, Michael Hadsell (of Florida), visiting Thailand, Observed how these otters herded fish into commercial nets. He extrapolated that to locate human bodies in murky water, The otter would blow out bubbles that it would suck Back into its mouth, literally tasting the scent trail to its source. Splash is on a tether line, and when it has a positive match, It swims up and grabs onto Hadsell's dive mask. The reward for all this work is raw salmon pieces. This use of an otter is so novel, the non-profit Florida Search And Rescue group is now establishing a formal court precedent. Humans have established working relationships with many other species. I was compelled to establish a list of 'working' and 'product' partners: Horses, mules, donkeys, elephants, camels, and llamas, can pull or be ridden. Oxen, dolphins, dogs, cats, raptors, ferrets, pigs, mergansers, pigeons and bats Are also 'working' partners, but for several other, different reasons. Mice, rats, fighting cocks, Drosophila, koi, goldfish, carrion beetles, Domestic ducks, geese, chickens, and turkeys; aquaculture fish, mink, Rabbits, honey bees, insects (a future food source), And silkworms are all 'product' partners Then we have all the genetically 'captured' plants, which are 'product' partners: Flowers, cultured trees, penicillin, xylitol, aspirin, fungus (cheese), Cotton, legumes, corn, wheat, rice, wild rice, agave and cannabis. There are many more--think of some of these 'product' partners. For some of the more obscure ones, determine their relationship with us.
