Somehow, my fishing buddy Tom has talked me into crewing with him on his 14' deluxe model whitewater raft. As a guy who has always tried to stay in the upright and locked position, and not go looking for trouble, I've gotta ask myself, "Self, are you nuts?"
We've taken a few practice runs down the American River, and used the raft as a drift boat on the Feather and
Sacramento River near Redding. But this year we're planning on some
serious stuff, the Tuolumne, over Clavey Falls. Stick around.
