The Yolo County Department of Alcohol, Drug, and Mental Health Services (ADMH) offers treatment, support, and rehabilitation services for individuals and families experiencing serious mental health conditions.

Yolo County will help anyone in a crisis but will provide on-going services only for those with chronic and severe mental health symptoms who have no insurance or who qualify for Medi-Cal.

This essential booklet, available to all Yolo County mental health clients, helps people navigate through the Yolo County mental health system. There has two sections to the booklet. The first section tells how to get help from the Yolo County Mental Health Plan and how it works. The second section is from the State of California and gives more general information about specialty mental health services. It tells you how to get other services, how to resolve problems, and what your rights are under the program. This booklet also tells you how to get information about the doctors, clinics and hospitals that the Yolo County Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health uses to provide services and where they are located.

YOLO COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH CARE PROVIDER DIRECTORY
The Department collaborates with private therapists and community based agencies to provide a wide range of mental health services for adults, children, youth, and older adults. Staff who provide services have training, skills, and experience working with Yolo County’s diverse cultural and ethnic communities.

YOLO COUNTY PROVIDER MANUAL
A manual for licensed mental health professionals, organizations, or hospitals contracted with the Yolo County Department of Alcohol, Drug, and Mental Health to provide evaluation and treatment to Medi-Cal beneficiaries.  Contains useful information about procedures, access and treatments for Yolo County mental health clients

YOLO COUNTY ADVANCE HEALTH CARE DIRECTIVE GUIDE
A brochure describing in plain language what an Advance Health Directive is (a written document that describes a person's directions and preferences for treatment and care during times when they  are having difficulty communicating and making decisions) and how to create one. Also available in Spanish and Russian.

YOLO COUNTY SERVICES GUIDE
This resource helps residents access various services from federal, state and county agencies, and local nonprofit organizations including  food stamps, temporary income, health care, rental assistance, temporary housing, HIV testing, legal services and much more.

CRISIS
Services arc available for psychiatric emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For 24-hour Crisis help call:

OUTPATIENT PROGRAMS
Services include crisis intervention, medication management, and therapy (individual and/or group) for adults and children.

CASE MANAGEMENT
Coordinates the delivery of a full range of services to help people achieve independent living and navigate complex social service systems. Case Managers help clients meet basic needs, including food, clothing transportation housing, and employment.

MEDICATION MANAGEMENT
Provides assessment and treatment to meet emergency and on-going medication needs, including medication, education, and monitoring

OLDER ADULT PROGRAM
Provides various levels of services and support to individuals age 60 and over. Registered nurses and senior volunteers staff this program. Services include mental health assessment, case management, peer counseling, and information/referral resources.

CHILDREN AND YOUTH
Children’s System of Care (CSOC) provides services at three ADMH sites and throughout the community, including schools, County Departments, and Juvenile Hall. Services include prevention and outreach, family advocacy, case management  and also individual, family and group therapy. Children eligible for full scope Medi-Cal and experiencing emotional problems may qualify for Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) ADMH contracts with Community-based agencies to design and provide services to meet the mental, emotional, and behavioral needs of at-risk children and youth. OTHER PROGRAMS
Additional programs include services to the homeless mentally ill, transitional age youth, and individuals with co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse treatment needs.

INPATIENT HOSPITAL SERVICES
Provides 24-hour treatment in a hospital for people with serious mental health conditions. Services include psychiatric, medical, social work, and nursing treatment.

PROBLEMS WITH SERVICE
Beneficiaries with concerns about service may file a complaint, grievance and/or request a State Fair Hearing. A brochure entitled Consumer  Problem Resolution Guide,” available at County and Provider sites, explains how clients may file a complaint or request a hearing.
